His Will

I spoke with my niece Carrie this morning and it’s funny how she has taken on the role of  “Auntie” in the situation with Mom. One of the things that stood out to me during our conversation was…

“While, we continue to pray for Moms healing and deliverance from this disease, there are certain things that we should be mindful of. Yes, Lord said that He will give you the desires of your heart but what people don’t understand is that God will give you the desires of your heart according to His will.”  ~Carrie Price~

“He will have the final word and the final glory, for His will is greater than our own.” ~MJ~

  1. As I’m just signing into this blog, let me first do so by commend each of the family members for your dedication and support of my dear friend and partner in ministry, Rev. Martha Alexander. Because of our close relationship, my wife Jackie (my Rib according to Rev. Martha-smile) and I feel like part of the family. We too are experiencing a degree of the pain that the family is experiencing. However, we pray God’s continuual presence with each of you and ourselves each and every day. As it pertains to God’s will, this is a very insightful and true reflection. I would also urge all of us to read James 4:15…”if it is the Lord’s will… (Pastor Herman Haynes)

  2. When a family finds themselves in a situations like this, the first thing that one looks to do is to find out; why did this happen, then how did this happen and finally how can we fix it. Somethings we can’t understand and we won’t understand until we get to Glory, only God knows, all we can do ask is to be in His will. For anyone that knows Martha Alexander knows that she is a true woman of God; which means she understands God’s divine and perfect will for her life she preached it and lived it. So as I attempt to encourage our family through these “Uncharted Waters” if we have never trusted in God’s will before even when we are feeling like Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane (Luke 22:42) Not our will but God’s will be done. Stay encouraged. ( Pastor & First Lady Jewel (Vickie) Brown
